Department of the Treasury

The Department of the Treasury is compromised of two entities: the Student Budget Advisory Committee (SBAC) and the Student Organizations Committee (SOC). It was offically created as a branch of student government by an amendment to the constitution during the 2026-2027 school year.

The branch was formed to create a more focused area of support for student organizations on campus. SBAC helps with the funding of organizations to ensure that clubs have the money they need while SOC is the body that grants organizations their official recognition stats and supports them throughout their tenure at Wake Forest.
